Local AI Ireland: Private AI Installed in Your Office, Anywhere in the Country
An Irish company, an Irish team, a machine in your own building. Chat, document search and AI assistants for your staff — with the files never leaving the office, let alone the country.
Local AI in Ireland means private AI running on a machine in your own premises rather than on a cloud provider's servers abroad. AgentHub, an Irish AI company, supplies the machine, installs it on your network anywhere in the 26 counties, connects your Microsoft or Google sign-in and supports it — so documents stay in the building, under Irish supervision.

The product is Local AI: private chat, document spaces and custom assistants on one machine we install in your building and keep current.
Why "Cloud AI" Usually Means "Outside Ireland"
Ireland hosts a remarkable share of the world's datacentres, which leads people to assume their AI chatbot's processing happens down the road. It usually doesn't. The large AI providers run their models where their capacity is, and the contract that governs your data is typically with an entity outside the EEA, with standard contractual clauses doing the legal work. For an Irish solicitor, accountant or clinic, that means an international transfer to justify and a processor to assess — for every member of staff who signed up.
Local AI takes the geography out of it. The machine is in your building, the data never crosses your network boundary for the AI step, and the only company with support access is Irish and answerable to the Data Protection Commission like you are. Our GDPR-compliant AI page goes through what that removes from your assessment, article by article.
One Machine, Three Tools, Installed by an Irish Team
Everything runs on the machine in your office. Staff sign in with the Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace accounts they already have.
Private Chat
A ChatGPT-style assistant on your own hardware. Draft, summarise, ask questions about an uploaded file — the conversation stays on the box.
Document Spaces
The matter files, the client accounts, the policies folder — searched, compared and summarised with a citation back to the page each answer came from.
AI Assistants
Custom automations for recurring jobs, built on the same machine and covered by the same support — scoped with you after go-live.
Cloud AI vs Local AI for an Irish Business: Where Everything Sits
| Question | Cloud AI chatbot | Local AI installed in Ireland |
|---|---|---|
| Where is the data processed? | The provider's servers, usually outside Ireland and often outside the EEA | Your building, your network |
| Who is the AI processor? | The AI provider, under its own terms | Nobody for the AI step; AgentHub is a processor only for support access, under a DPA |
| Which supervisory authority? | Depends on the provider's EU establishment | The Irish Data Protection Commission — the same one you already answer to |
| Is there an international transfer? | Frequently | No — nothing crosses a border |
| Who installs and supports it? | Nobody — you sign up online | An Irish team, on-site, anywhere in the country |
| Internet needed? | For everything | Only for sign-in |
| Pricing shape | Per user per month, in dollars | Hardware, setup and monthly support, in euro, quoted after a call |
The Irish Sectors Where the File Can't Leave the Building
Every profession has a folder its regulator, its clients or its contracts say stays in-house. That folder is where Local AI starts.
| Sector | The folder that stays in-house | Why | What Local AI does with it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solicitors | Matter files, precedents, discovery | Client confidentiality; contract clauses forbidding external processors | Search across a matter, summarise correspondence, first-draft standard letters — see Local AI for solicitors |
| GP practices | Patient records, referral letters, HSE correspondence | Special-category health data under Article 9 | Admin only: letters, policies, practice documents — see Local AI for GPs |
| Dental practices | Treatment plans, lab orders, patient correspondence | Health data; Dental Council guidance on records | Practice admin and correspondence — see Local AI for dentists |
| Estate agents | Vendor and buyer files, AML checks, valuations | PSRA and anti-money-laundering obligations on client identity documents | Search and summarise property files, draft standard correspondence — see Local AI for estate agents |
| Accountants | Client year-end files, payroll, working papers | Dozens of clients' financial and personal data in one office | Summarise, extract figures, draft management letters |
| HR and recruitment | Personnel files, candidate CVs, investigations | The material staff should never paste into a public tool | Spaces with access limited to the HR group |
Installed On-Site From Dublin to Donegal
Local AI is a physical install, so we come to you. The machine arrives configured; we put it on your network, connect single sign-on, import the folders you've chosen into spaces and train the people who'll use it — in a Dublin 2 law office, a practice in Ennis or a firm on the Waterford quays alike. Support afterwards is remote, through the access you grant under a data processing agreement, with a replacement machine restored from backup if the hardware fails.
If you'd rather read the version written for your own city, we have one for each of the five: Local AI Dublin, Local AI Cork, Local AI Limerick, Local AI Galway and Local AI Waterford. Everywhere else in the country gets exactly the same install and the same people.
From a Call to a Machine in Your Office
Scope and Size
A short call about which team, which folder and how many people. Bring your DPO or adviser if you have one — we'd rather answer the processor questions early.
We Come and Install It
A configured machine, on your network, connected to your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace sign-in, with your existing documents imported into spaces.
Train, Go Live, Keep It Current
We train the team. Software updates, model upgrades, backups and support are ours — the installers are the people you ring.
What the Arrangement Covers, and What Stays Yours
Quoted in euro after a short call, once we know your team size and document volume.
| Area | AgentHub does | You keep |
|---|---|---|
| Hardware | Sizes, supplies, configures and installs the machine on-site | A network port, a socket and somewhere for it to sit |
| Setup | Single sign-on, document import, training for the team | Deciding which folders are in scope |
| Ongoing | Software updates, model upgrades, backups, support | One named contact we talk to |
| Data protection | Acts as processor for support access only; signs a DPA before go-live | You remain the data controller; your retention and access policies keep applying |
| Cost shape | Hardware, setup and a monthly support fee, no per-user or per-message charges | Nothing in dollars, nothing metered |
What Clients Say About Working With Us
Our inbox was drowning us. AgentHub's email manager now categorises everything and drafts responses that sound exactly like us. Response times went from 48 hours to under 4.
Since installing AgentHub's AI receptionist, we haven't missed a single patient call. It handles appointment queries after hours and our front desk staff can focus on in-clinic care.
An Irish AI Company, Not a Reseller
Built in Ireland
Irish company, Irish team, Irish supervisory authority. The people who install the machine are the people who support it — see who we are.
PhD-Led Team
Founded by a Computer Science PhD with 27+ years in software, including 15 years at IBM Ireland.
Security First
Co-founded by a Security Architect. Your own sign-in, no inbound ports, and a data processing agreement before go-live.
On-Site, Nationwide
A physical install anywhere in the 26 counties, then remote support through the access you grant.
Local AI in Ireland: Your Questions Answered
Do you install Local AI anywhere in Ireland?
Yes — all 26 counties. It's a physical install, so we come to your office with the configured machine, put it on your network, connect sign-in and train the team. Support afterwards is remote, through the access you grant under a data processing agreement, with a replacement machine restored from backup if needed.
Does my data stay in Ireland?
It stays in your building, which is stricter than staying in Ireland. Documents, chat history and the models all live on the machine in your office. The only outside connection is to your own Microsoft or Google account for sign-in — no AI provider, no datacentre, no transfer.
Is AgentHub an Irish company?
Yes. We're an Irish AI development company founded by a Computer Science PhD and a Security Architect, working with businesses nationwide. Being Irish matters here because we're subject to the same Data Protection Commission you are, and the people who install and support your machine are in the country.
Which Irish businesses is Local AI for?
The ones with a folder that can't go to a third party: solicitors' matter files, GP and dental records, accountants' client files, estate agents' AML and vendor files, HR personnel records. Most start with one team and one folder, then widen access once that team uses it daily.
How long does an install take?
Weeks, not months. The call and machine specification come first, then supply, an on-site day for installation, sign-in and document import, and training. Starting with one team keeps it short; adding people later is a configuration change rather than a second visit.
How much does Local AI cost in Ireland?
Three parts, in euro: the hardware, the setup, and a monthly support fee covering updates, model upgrades, backups and the people who installed it. No per-user or per-message fees for the AI itself. We quote after a short call once we know your team size and document volume.
Somewhere in Ireland, a File Is About to Be Pasted Into a Public Chatbot
Give that person the same tool on a machine you own. Tell us which team and which folder, and we'll come and install it.
